Britney Spears Takes the High Road and Quotes the Bible after Katy Perry’s Cheap Dig at the Grammys

Sunday evening at the Grammys, Katy Perry found herself in hot water after she made two separate insults towards Britney Spears, for no apparent reason.

Her first insult came during an interview with Ryan Seacrest, where she explained that her recent hiatus from music was a result of her taking care of her mental health, adding that it worked because as she put it, “I haven’t shaved my head yet”:

Then, in another interview with CBS that evening, when they were discussing her new hair color, Perry joked all she has left to do when it comes to changing her hair is razoring it all off, which she indicated she intends holding off on until she encounters a publicized meltdown.

Once Perry’s insult caught the attention of social media users, people were extremely upset by her hurtful and unnecessary comments regarding Spears and mental health in general.

However, Spears has appeared to respond to Perry’s remarks and has done so with a well-thought Bible verse:

Spears posted a photo of hands in the shape of a heart with a sunset in the backdrop, and she captioned it:
“Her mouth speaks from that which fills her heart. Luke 6:45”
She later posted this video, showing she’s not going to let any negative comments affect her:

Then, she posted the photo above—the singer enjoying a nice sun bath in Malibu, clearly unfazed by Perry’s insult.

Since making the posts, her fans have praised Spears for taking the high road and not letting Perry’s comments get her down.
