Millennials are forging their own style, keen to do things differently than their parents, they’ve begun popping the question in glorious technicolour.
New research from Allianz indicates the younger generation are moving away from the traditional white diamond engagement rings into a dazzling array of blue turquoise, yellow beryls and pink quartz-coloured stones. Embracing the idea that semi-precious stones, and even non-precious crystal, can make valuable rings, with the added bonus of a less costly price tag.
Swarovski studies have illustrated that when millennials do buy diamonds, they’re keen to know the exact source of the stone. Addressing that question, they recently launched a new fine jewellery collection including crystal rings overlaid with man-made diamonds in art-deco inspired designs.
