Ben Carson ticked off liberals and the mainstream media with a comment comparing slaves and immigrants. “That’s what America is about, a land of dreams and opportunity. There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less. But they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-granddaughters, might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land,” said Carson.
Even though Ben Carson is technically correct in his definition of an immigrant, liberals were upset because Ben Carson didn’t mention that slaves were brought here involuntarily. Ben Carson clarified what he meant later in a facebook post.
“The slave narrative and immigrant narrative are two entirely different experiences. Slaves were ripped from their families and their homes and forced against their will after being sold into slavery by slave traders,” he wrote. However, liberals are not capable of forgiveness. They want Ben Carson’s head and they want it violently.
Ghostbusters actress Leslie Jones wrote the following violent threat to Ben Carson on Twitter. “I want to fight Ben Carson!! Cash me outside muthaf**ka! How bout dat!! #Slaveswerenotimmigrants F**KFACE!!” She wrote. Wow. Samuel L. Jackson was also furious.
“OK!! Ben Carson….I can’t! Immigrants ? In the bottom of SLAVE SHIPS??!! MUTHAF**KA PLEASE!!!#dickheadedtom” he wrote. However, Samuel L. Jackson also made it clear that no apology could ever be good enough, and that Carson is apparently irredeemable for what he said. In an interview with TMZ Jackson said that apologizing was pointless and Carson should just “quit his job and stop talking.”
