Best Father’s day 2017 Poems
Father is soft like mother,
Strict like teacher,
helps like a friend,
teases like a sister,
he is best of all!
Oh, great father, thy we shall grateful to,
For all the good deeds,
For all the harsh sacrifice,
For all the pain you endured for us,
For all the skills you taught us,
For all the food you feed us,
For all the water and wine you gave us,
Prior to God almighty, we all shall thank you,
From the deepest corner of our soul and heart,
Our sincerest gratitude towards you and only you.
Father, you are greatest of all,
You gave us hope,
When we all were sad,
You gave us all strength,
When we were weak,
You showed us the path of righteousness,
When we were lost in the echoes of greed,
You showed us light,
When there was darkness & despair,
We all would never be able to repay,
The debt of joy and happiness you gave us!
Life wouldn’t be so beautiful, without thy blessing,
You are the one who taught us to survive darkness,
Darkness of anger, greed, fear and deadly of all lust,
Without you, we would be consumed with sins,
Oh, my beloved father, I am grateful for everything you did for us!
Father is symbol of strength and love,
Mother is symbol of care and love,
Father is the sun,
Mother is the Moon,
They both nurture us all!
What Makes a Dad
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so,
He called it … Dad
Happy Fathers Day Poems From Son
Perhaps we’ll never understand each other.
Loving doesn’t mean that we agree.
If that were so, then I would say, why bother?
But there are things I know I’ll never see.
I’m sure your heart knows what I don’t yet know:
The pain of loving a reluctant son;
The anger, coming fast and building slow,
Of being helpless to control someone.
You want only that I grow up right,
But you know what right is, and I still don’t.
I have to learn to wield my inner light,
And if I follow yours, well, then I won’t.
I’m sorry for the anger in the air;
Though we fight, my love is always there.
Short Fathers Day Poems 2017
A Dad is a person
who is loving and kind,
And often he knows
what you have on your mind.
He’s someone who listens,
suggests, and defends.
A dad can be one
of your very best friends!
He’s proud of your triumphs,
but when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient
and helpful and strong
In all that you do,
a dad’s love plays a part.
There’s always a place for him
deep in your heart.
And each year that passes,
you’re even more glad,
More grateful and proud
just to call him your dad!
Thank you, Dad…
for listening and caring,
for giving and sharing,
but, especially, for just being you!
Happy Father’s Day
Fathers Day Poems From Daughter
A Father means so many things…
A understanding heart,
A source of strength and of support
Right from the very start.
A constant readiness to help
In a kind and thoughtful way.
With encouragement and forgiveness
No matter what comes your way.
A special generosity and always affection, too
A Father means so many things
When he’s a man like you…
You may have thought I didn’t see,
Or that I hadn’t heard,
Life lessons that you taught to me,
But I got every word.
Perhaps you thought I missed it all,
And that we’d grow apart,
But Dad, I picked up everything,
It’s written on my heart.
Without you, Dad, I wouldn’t be
The person I am today;
You built a strong foundation
No one can take away.
I’ve grown up with your values,
And I’m very glad I did;
So here’s to you, dear father,
From your forever grateful kid.
You are my hero, Dad
You’re my secure foundation.
When I think of you, I’m filled with love
And fond appreciation.
You make me feel protected;
I’m sheltered by your care.
You’re always my true friend; and Dad,
When I need you, you’re always there.
You have a place of honor
Deep within my heart.
You’ve been my superhero, Dad,
Right from the very start.
I love you, Dad, and want you to know,
I feel your love wherever I go.
Whenever I’ve problems, you’re there to assist,
The ways you have helped me would make quite a list.
Your wisdom and knowledge have shown me the way,
And I’m thankful for you as I live day by day.
I don’t tell you enough how important you are,
In my universe you’re a bright shining star.
Our childhood flew, watching you toil so hard!
Days and night appeared almost the same,
when we looked up to you.
And, every time we were infirm,
you stayed up all night with us.
And, was up and about for your business,
the very next day.
And, today when we fight on petty issues and end up laughing,
Life is blissful in your smile!
We have grown up seeing you fighting a battle of will,
to make both ends meet,
and, while doing so…
You always kept an eye on our health and well-being,
Standing tall for our families.
You are all the strength that we look upon.
Your forte lies in learning new things,
be it health-issues, horoscopes or English.
Didi has always been your sweetheart,
As you shared your learning’s and knowledge with her.
A disciplinarian! Yet, never short of Love and Care.
Be it for us, or for the society!
Today, as we still fight our battles to bring stability in our Life.
We feel stronger and better,
to have your constant blessing and Love bestowed on all of us!!!
You are our IDEAL,
And, will remain the Armour of our Life,
“Papa” (The Father) to us, forever!
Happy Father’s Day!!!
Only a dad with a tired face,
Coming home from the daily race,
Bringing little of gold or fame
To show how well he has played the game;
But glad in his heart that his own rejoice
To see him come and to hear his voice…
Father, today I bring to Thee
This boy of mine whom Thou hast made.
In everything he looks to me,
In turn, I look to Thee for aid…
Hold Thou my hand as I hold his,
And so guide me that I may guide.
Teach me, Lord, that I may teach,
And keep me free from foolish pride…
Fathers hold you when you have bad dreams
And they comfort you when all is lost it seems.
Fathers teach you to dribble a basketball and shoot a free throw
And they lead you as you grow.
Fathers teach you how to drive a car
And they try to teach you how to putt for par.
Fathers wipe the tears of your broken heart
And they hold your hand when you don’t know how to start.
Fathers quiz the boys who take you on a date
And they scold those boys who bring you home late.
Fathers carry you on their shoulders when you’re too small to see
And they watch as you giggle when they bounce you on their knee.
Fathers extend their feet to you when they teach you how to dance
And they always give you a second chance.
Fathers wait in the wings while you start your own life
And they pray for a husband to make you a wife.
Fathers walk you down the aisle on your wedding day
But fathers never really give their little girls away.
