This year, the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl, again, further securing their place in NFL history. As is traditional, the team will be visiting the White House to be congratulated by President Donald Trump.
In addition to their usual Trump-bashing, the liberal media have been reporting on how several Patriots players have decided not to go to the White House this year — presumably because Trump is the president.
Appearing on “Today,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who is a friend of Trump’s, was grilled by host Matt Lauer over whether his friendship with Trump makes being the owner of the Patriots difficult, considering how some of his players feel.
“Your relationship with Donald Trump, I should mention, goes back a while,” Lauer said. “Has your relationship with Donald Trump in any way strained your relationship with some of your players, who by the way, some say they don’t want to go to the White House to celebrate this win?”
Despite Lauer’s underhanded attack, Kraft calmly answered the question and put him in his place.
“Every time we’ve had the privilege of going to the White House, a dozen of our players don’t go,” Kraft said. “This is the first time it’s gotten any media attention.”
Kraft never raised his voice, but his answer made it clear that he saw through Lauer’s liberal bent, and knew just what he was trying to do with that question.
In the minds of the folks in the media, anyone who is friends with Trump, or supports him for that matter, is someone who automatically can’t relate to society and is going to stir up trouble.
The reality is that most Trump supporters are decent Americans who thought Trump could turn America around.
The longer the media fail to recognize that, the more people will simply stop caring what they have to say, and the more irrelevant they will become.
